2009 Coaching Volunteers

Thanks are due not only to all the sponsors but also to the hundreds of people who stepped up and helped out when needed to make this year a great success - in spite of the weather!  While the team sponsors and many of the lead volunteers are acknowledged in the accompanying table, there’s an important group that promotes good sportsmanship front and centre, keeps everyone “in tune” and holds the smokers at bay; sometimes more challenging than coaching itself!  Thanks: Micki Harris-Jackson, Peter Brand,  Danny Cerovac, Tanya Quast, Darryl McGraw, Jen Patterson, Jocelyne Graham, Darren Lewis, Carmin Wessel, Kelly Maloney, Rich Hunt, Elizabeth Christiansen, Jodi Roth,  Kevin Helgerman, Rosemarie Billings, Karen Saunders, Wendy Stolz, Kurt Muntz, Henry Galway, Wendy Marsh and Peter Roth. 

In addition to the league conveners: Gord Dearborn, Craig Findlay, and Daniel Shepard, we were fortunate to have Dan Reid and Owen Blythe join us and help with the umpiring crew and game-night supervision.  The help of Jim Adams and Boyd, Leah & Karen Nairn with the initial organization has become an annual expectation but never taken for granted. Peter Hoffman lined up all the sponsors we needed and Joe Watson again rallied the Optimist Club of Stanley Park members out for the wrap-up party.

We can’t name everybody who helped this year, but do extend our appreciation and offer you the opportunity to help again next year!
